Fall - my favorite season
I absolutely love Fall in Ohio.. there is nothing better. Fall means football season, the trees changing colors, and last but not least Halloween - an Athens favorite. Sleeping with the windows open hearing the wind howling is amazing. Seeing all the different costumes on court street is just grand. The Cleveland Browns? Looking great this year, for once we aren't a joke! Sundays, Thursdays, and Monday nights are dedicated to football, not just to see who wins but to check up on my fantasy football league. Life is just great in the Fall, can't wait to tailgate and enjoy the cool weather with colors of leaves in the back ground!

trip to seattle
I will be visiting my family in Seattle in September and I can't wait. I used to go out to Seattle every other year but since I've started college in 2006 I've only been able to go out once. My grandfather is turning 92 this year so my Mom and I are flying out on his birthday. He knows that I am coming out, but my ma is not telling him she's coming out to surprise him. We plan on going to Elliot's which is an up scale sea food restaurant that he's been going to for years.
The number one thing I love about visiting Seattle, other than seeing my family, is the fact that they live on Lake Washington. It is so beautiful out there, and to wake up to the lake waves every morning is very soothing. I remember when I was younger one year we went to visit and Bill Gates was starting to build his house on Lake Washington - we can see it across the lake. I went out two years later and they were still building his house! Absolutely crazy, but his house is huge - the parts you can see. It amazing how much money some people have!

Moving out
This is my last summer in Athens, and I'm moving out of my apartment that I've been living in for two years. One does not realize how many things one can in two years time. Clothes - way to many, half I haven't worn in years but still can not bare to donate of throw away. Dishes - I'm pretty sure a third of them aren't mine, and I live by myself haha. I do have to admit it was fun when I found some old things I haven't seen since the dorm and but sadly the box still smelled like the dorms, it brought back some old memories. I've taken 5 car loads of things back to my parents house and my apartment is starting to lose it's character as I begin to take down pictures, coloring book pages and dry erase boards from the walls. I'm going to miss this town, my apartment and the joys of being in college but look forward to jump into "the real world."

With the power vested in me..
I have to admit, I have never blogged before but think that it will be fun and easy. I figured I would blog about what I am doing this weekend which is also a career of mine. I am a Reverend in the state of Ohio and can legally marry couples. This all started last year when two of my best friends asked me if I would become ordained and marry them. It was a complete honor for me to be asked to do such a job and decided to carry on my "Reverend" responsibilities and do more weddings. This Saturday I am going to be the Reverend at another couple who I've known for many years. The wedding is going to be on the beach of Lake Erie and I can't wait. Sometimes I get nervous that I might screw up by skipping a line in the vows or by not sounding strong in my words, but I tell myself that these are people that expect me to 'play a role' on one of the biggest days of their lives and I need to make sure I do that. Practice makes perfect.. so does confidence! So wish me luck, and pray that it does not rain!
